Mission Statement
Through the use of the NTDPC's Virtual Private - Damage Information Reporting Tool (VP-DIRT), we promote participation in the gathering, analyzing, and trending of damage data within the telecommunications industry in order to promote the best practices used in the prevention of future damages. These actions benefit the telecommunications industry by directing our shared resources in the most efficient manner, thereby improving network reliability for our customers.

2017 Initiatives
Analyze telecommunications industry data and provide recommendations to the NTDPC based upon the top two root causes or issues affecting telecom facilities. Collectively, as the NTDPC, we should strive to have access to damage data for the entire telecommunications industry. This will allow us to determine the root causes of damages; not only for our industry but for our individual companies as well. This will enable each member company to compare its data against that of the industry, evaluate the effectiveness of their own damage prevention program and take appropriate actions as may be required.
